CREW Network Scholarship
July 2, 2012The CREW Network & CREW Foundation Scholarship Endowment program is for women pursuing an education that will lead to a career in the commercial real estate industry, and offers an internship in brokerage to encourage women to consider this career choice. The CREW Network & CREW Foundation Scholarship(s) will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence and interest in commercial real estate as a career, and is intended to help finance the educational endeavors of female undergraduate students during their junior or senior years of academic preparation and students enrolled in full time applicable graduate programs.
- Scholarship recipients will complete an internship at a commercial real estate brokerage firm during the summer following the academic year for which the scholarship grant was awarded.
- Scholarship recipients will participate in the CREW Network eMentoring program during at least the last 12 months following the grant of the scholarship.
Scholarship Value
The number of awards, and the specific dollar amount of each award which will not be less than $5,000 (to cover tuition and books) and will be identified based upon the availability of interest income from the Endowment, contributions and matching corporate funds.

Eligibility Requirements
The applicant must be a female enrolled as a full-time student at a college or university with an accredited real estate program or students enrolled in full time applicable graduate programs. Applications will also be considered if the applicant is a female enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university that does not have an accredited real estate program, but where the applicant’s focus of study is on any area included in the qualified fields of commercial real estate for CREW membership, and where it is the applicant’s intent to pursue a career in commercial real estate.
- The applicant must be of junior or senior standing during the school year 2012-13 for undergraduate student applications, or enrolled full-time in an applicable graduate program for graduate student applications.
- The applicant must have maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- The scholarship is only available to citizens of the United States and Canada.

ASA Scholarship Program
July 2, 2012Students interested in applying for the Aerospace States Association (ASA) scholarship must adhere to the following terms and conditions:
- A $1,500 ASA scholarship, to be competed for, and awarded annually to up to two students pursuing an aerospace-related education.
- The scholarship/s shall be available each year. The student can only win once.
- The Education Committee of ASA will administer the scholarship competition.
- The ASA delegate/alternate from each member state shall publicize the scholarship through the state’s aerospace-related institutions of higher learning, career centers, and/or other appropriate entities.
- The candidate’s application for the scholarship shall include community-related activities, school-related activities, grade point average, field of study and an official transcript. An academic-based, personal letter of recommendation shall also accompany the application. These documents shall be sent to the attention of the ASA Education Committee Chair at the address on the application form for review.
- The applicant may only be an entering sophomore or junior in an undergraduate degree program pursuing study in the areas of physical sciences, engineering, or aviation or aerospace related fields.
- Scholarship candidate’s application should be submitted to the ASA Education Committee Chair by April 30th of each year.
- The scholarship would be made available for the fall school term of the year under consideration.
- The scholarship shall be awarded in the form of a check made out to the scholarship awardee/awardees appropriate school, and it shall be understood that the funds are for tuition and books only.
- The ASA member state of the recipient shall consider staging a presentation of the scholarship in the recipient’s state with the presence of the ASA representative/organization and the Lt. Governor, where applicable.
TG’s Charley Wootan Grant Program
July 2, 2012
Since 2000, TG has been proud to support a grant program designed to provide help to students pursuing a higher education and who have financial need. For the 2012-13 academic year, TG’s Charley Wootan Grant program will award grants totaling $5 million. TG will award $4 million in grants to students who are Texas residents. TG will distribute $1 million in grants to students residing outside Texas. Grants within Texas will be split between students going to 2-year colleges or vocational schools and students enrolled at 4-year universities.
Texas Association of Broadcasters
July 2, 2012Texas broadcasters founded the Texas Broadcast Education Foundation in 1973 to:
- fund scholarships for promising students at Texas colleges and universities
- ensure the development of qualified professionals for the industry
- foster a stronger relationship between higher education and broadcasters
- promote a greater understanding of ethics and societal responsibility
TBEF annually provides eight $2,000 scholarships to Texas students.
Each applicant must:
- be a current TAB Student Member and/or currently attend a TABE Member School
- maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 point scale)
- submit a complete application by the deadline
Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities
July 2, 2012The scholarship programs administered by HACU are made possible due to generous contributions from corporate and federal organizations.
To be eligible to apply for one of HACU’s scholarships, students must be attending a HACU Member or Partner college or university (visit http://www.hacu.net/ for a complete listing) and meet all additional criteria for the program to which they are applying. HACU uses one scholarship application for the several different programs it administers. Program criteria will vary based on the requirements of the funding organization, e.g., specific major, level of study, college/university, region of the country, etc. Scholarship amounts also vary depending on the program, usually ranging from $500 – $2,000 per year.
Texas Interscholastic League Foundation (TILF)
July 2, 2012Each year, the Texas Interscholastic League Foundation disburses over $1 million in scholarships to more than 600 students. To be eligible to apply for a TILF scholarship, students must have participated in a UIL Academic State Meet during their high school career. Participation in Athletic or Music contests does not qualify a student to apply for a TILF scholarship.

Please note, however, that applicants are applying directly to the program and not for a specific scholarship. Our donors and board members are the ones who make the final determination.

Morehouse College Honors Program
June 6, 2012About The Honors Program
The Morehouse Honors Program is a four-year comprehensive program providing special learning opportunities for students of outstanding intellectual ability, high motivation, and broad interests. The Program has majors from 14 of the College’s 16 academic departments and emphasizes leadership and social outreach systematically in classes and in co-curricular activities from freshman year to graduation. The Program has established a record of actively supporting the College’s internationalization focus by introducing its students at the freshman level, in classes and in external meetings – to active interest and participation in global studies and study-abroad commitments to balance the students’ academic pursuits.
Admission Standards
Admission to the Program is based on SATand ACT scores (generally a minimum of 1770 and 27, respectively), high school GPA (a minimum of 3.0), and a PROFILE(application) completed by each prospective freshman. In some cases, however, freshmen whose entrance scores fall just below the minimum are admitted on a one-semester, conditional basis. Second-semester freshmen and first-semester sophomores may apply for admission if they are not admitted at the beginning of their freshman year. The Program is open to students in all academic disciplines.

Morehouse College Honors Program is actively involved in national, regional and state Honors organizations. The Program also has membership in the Emerging Leaders Conference. Each organization hosts an annual meeting, which selected Honors Program core faculty, staff and students attend as delegates, present papers, and conduct workshops.

Big Brother-Little Brother Mentoring Program
The goal in the Big Brother/Little Brother program is to have every freshman student introduced to an upper-class Honors Program student for contact by the start of his freshman year. It is the objective of the HP to have each pair maintain a relationship far beyond freshman year—ideally until and after graduation.

The Honors Program Club (HPC)
The Honors Program Club is a chartered student organization on campus. The purpose of this organization is to develop the academic and social potentials of its members. Members are encouraged to develop all aspects of their characters and personalities in the Honors environment. The HPC elects its own officers and sponsors activities, both for Program members and for the College community. Club membership is assured after a student is accepted into the Honors Program. Only students in good standing, from freshmen to seniors, are permitted to run for office in the Honors Program Club and to represent the College and the Program at AUC, state, regional, and national Honors conferences.

Morehouse College Pre-Freshman Bridge Program
June 6, 2012Pre-Freshman Summer Program
Overview
PSP is a dynamic six-week academic enhancement and college readiness program that offers pre-freshmen and rising 12th graders a challenging and rewarding experience on the historic campus of Morehouse College.
Eligibility
- High school graduate who has been admitted to Morehouse College and who intends to enroll in the College in the Fall Semester.
- High School Graduates who have not been admitted to Morehouse College and have been recommended by the Office of Admissions to PSP. Upon successful completion of the PSP program, students will be admitted on a probationary status for the Fall semester.
- Rising high school 12th graders.
Housing
Students will be housed in a resident hall located on the Morehouse College campus.
Curriculum
Applicants who have been admitted to Morehouse College will take appropriate courses among the following; College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, College Reading Skills I & II, English Composition I, English Composition I Lab, and English Composition III. Applicants may earn academic credit upon successful completion (Grade B or better) of these courses.
Applicants who were denied admission to Morehouse will enroll in a non-college credit academic skill building program that offers courses in English, Math, and Reading.
Rising 12th graders will take non-college credit courses based on college department placement assessments.
